An Elegant Cambridge Wedding in a Uniquely Rustic + Minimal Venue

Sam and Josh created a modern and elegant wedding day on a chilly March afternoon in Cambridge, Mass. Their venue, The Catalyst, combined rustic and minimal elements in a Scandinavian inspired design. It was the perfect backdrop for an unconventional brunch bash. The venue itself was so striking that only a minimal amount of florals were needed to accent the space with pops of blue and white hydrangeas. The couple combined informal elements like a custom Bloody Mary bar and donut tower with a traditional ceremony to create a personal wedding day that reflected their love for each other and their families.

Sam kept the wedding day unique and true to herself, down to the custom design of her dress. Sam’s dress was a combination of the Tess bodice and Stella skirt, a customization we can easily make by switching skirt silhouettes. In addition, Sam’s bodice was completely customized in our studio to get the perfect fit, a service that we can offer for our NY brides. A classic updo was accented with pearl pins and drop earrings to match the beading on the dress and show off the keyhole back. Sam’s makeup look was classic and elegant, letting her natural beauty shine through and perfectly complimenting the simplicity of the gown and setting.
